MILDRED WILSON
Founder/Executive Chair
Born in Philadelphia, the city of Brotherly Love, and a graduate from West Catholic Girls High School. I went on to graduate from Pierce College in Business Administration. Continued my education in Business from Rosemont University and receiving Certificates of Completion from Kutztown University – Business Management and the City of Philadelphia – Business Management.
Retired after 30 years from GlaxoSmithKline, Inc., which I acquired a host of knowledge from the Marketing Dept., Regulatory Dept. and US Medical Affairs Dept.
I am now pursuing my life dream in managing the development of young students.
GIANNA THOMAS
Secretary
I am a Philadelphia native working as a Resident Director in the department of Housing and Residential Education at The New School University. In my work as a Resident Director, I oversee a building of over 180 students in New York City. Additionally, I supervise a student staff of 12 different student leaders, leading my staff in fostering a positive community within the residence hall through various programming efforts and student engagement.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the New School University in May of 2022 and plan on pursuing my Masters Degree in Psychology with a focus in developmental psychology.
During my teen years in Philadelphia, I participated in the Business Experience and Educational Program (B.E.E.P) where I learned crucial business skills that have helped me excel in my career. Now, I want to give back to the community and provide students in the Philadelphia area with the same tools to thrive.
CHRISTIAN BROWN
Treasurer
I am a Philadelphia native who is beginning my career at BDO in their Core Tax Services. I am a CPA candidate in Pennsylvania and received my Master’s of Accountancy (MAcc) degree at Temple University in the summer of 2021. Currently, I am focusing on leveraging an accounting and tax background that can help others achieve financial literacy. I am dedicated to supporting the growth of young individual mindsets in making better informed financial decisions.
I was a student who participated in a mentoring program in high school and realized that you can have your desires you just have to want it and work for it.
BELINDA HARRIS
Social Media Director
After studying Music Education at Hampton University, I later went on to obtain my Bachelor of Science, in Internet Marketing. I have worked in the field of Marketing and Development for the past thirteen years.
I created a Social Media Consulting and Management company, which focused on educating and assisting small business owners, with managing and promoting their brand online.
I am excited to be a part of XSF to extend my expertise towards the development of excellence for our students.
